The Federal Ministry of Environment warned today that about 18 states will be affected by heavy rainfall and flooding if precautions are not taken between now and July 20.
This was announced by the ministry's Deputy
Director in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, in Abuja today.
Among the States to be affected are, Borno, Bauchi, Lagos, Kebbi, Kwara, Enugu, Jigawa, Katsina, Kano, Plateau, Yobe, and Adamawa States.
She further stated that adherence to these warnings would save lives and property.
